BigClock is an amazingly customizable application that is more than just a "tell the time" application. Sure it tells you the time, in four different settable time zones, either digital or analog. You can set AM or PM or 24hour clock, or even a mix of these in multiple areas. It also has four alarms that you can have set for daily, once or customizable. The alarms can be set for the system sound our you can set via frequency, time and amplitude with a repeat time you also set to your liking. The alarms can have flash the backlight or a taillight if you happen to have one of those need gadgets. As of version 2.8 it also supports color and backgrounds, this means if you have a color Palm unit you can have a color background while you look up all this time related stuff. Of course there also timers that you can have count up or down, you decide. There is also an alternating timer that is perfect for those chess games. So your really picky and you don't like the calendar on the left side with the time on the bottom, you can change that to you liking too. Up to four world times plus the local time can be set. Did I mention that this program is customizable! Wow this little program does everything you need to know about the time, all for free! A few versions back this program included a short system statistics page, this feature is no longer available as it took up a bunch of space and there are several other programs that did the same or even a better job of showing system statistics, after all this is program is a clock not a development tool! I personally liked this feature but 99% of the population probably would not even know that was ever there, it was a good choice to remove it. The program is now under GNU Public License as well so if you really think you can do better, power to you.
