Wish you could Sync your PalmOS handheld to something other than the desktop application that came with your handheld? There are couple of utilities that may be able to help you do just that. Intellisync from Puma Tech is one application I looked a few years back, now it's time for a new look. I must admit when I first looked at this utility they were just starting out, at that time I was not willing to go through the growing pains with them. After many upgrades and fixes I think they have a winner here. I have been using version 4.00 for several months now and have had no problems at all. I am proud to say that I have not lost any data due to the software. Human error, that is a different story. Intellisync is so easy to use that you might think that it is a set and forget application. If you do just that you won't be disappointed, however it is so easy to change that you just might want to sync to the Palm Desktop to try it out again, or maybe just the memo pad to something other that MS Outlook. Intellisync gives you the flexibility to choose what application goes where.
The version I happened to get also works with Pocket PC and Windows CE Handhelds, but we won't get into that... at least not today. Once the conduits are set and you sync your handheld you will find that you may get prompted at some point along the way. The prompt may be just to confirm what Intellisync is going to do or maybe, you changed the record in both the handheld and the desktop. If that does happen then Intellisync with ask you which one you would like to keep, it will give you option to open each record and take a look if you like.
